Beyond everything this just logically should point to the movie on IMDb not the show episode. Anyone coming to the TMDb Page for this Movie would also want the movie page on IMDb
As indicated : There is a duplicate on IMDB, they consider that the TV movie (tt0329200) is different than the home video release (tt16343896). When they resolve their duplicate, only the smallest Id will remain.
And, to clarify the things, the original release (November 3, 2002) of this TV movie was effectively as an episode of the "Wonderful World of Disney" series.
This is absolutely not the same for Toy Story which was originally a theatrical movie, listed on IMDB as tt0114709. tt6318844is for an edited version specific for television.
IMDB has no method to report the duplicates across entities (episode <=> movie) appears. Since you seem to be aware that imdb can resolve their duplicates for these situations, please provide the link or instructions for how to do so. If you cannot then how would you expect it to be fixed on imdb's end?
Again, how is it logical a movie on tmdb an tv episode on imdb? This wasn't answered. Based on the same logic then, all of the movie's covered in that Disney Series should be removed from TMDb as movies and reclassified as episodes.
Can you link to the entry in the contribution bible or tmdb policy that says movies shall be listed to imdb tv episodes?

If my memory is correct, this should be posible via the title correction.

They are listed in that series here. The "Home Alone 4" episode is listed as S05E14.
Some are also simultaneously listed as movies due to the 2nd case here.

This is an episode of an anthology series. So, the listed data should match this episode.
If my memory is correct, this should be posible via the title correction.
It is not. Movie's must have the year of release in the name matching the release date and it does not let you correct it without it. It does not make sense for the episode to have the year in the episode name.
"To request a merge, input a title name correction into the field which matches the name of the title you're merging into."
TV Episode Title: Home Alone 4: Taking Back the House
It is impossible to set the "duplicate" movie's title to the TV Episode Title. Given this - and given it makes no sense to name the episode with the year in it - how do you propose this is resolved?
and so TMDb allows duplicates as you noted....IMDb does not appear to have any rules covering this and the movie entry is not noted as explicitly a duplicate.
Can you provide IMDb's policy or docs that indicate that these movies are true duplicates of the tv episodes and should be merged?
If you cannot - then why is TMDb inventing an IMDb policy that does not exist. TMDb logic says the IMDb entries are duplicates. IMDb clearly thinks otherwise it seems.

They aren't duplicate. Toy Story was originally a theatrical movie that have been modified for inclusion in the series. This is even written in the overview of the TV episode.
Did you read my message above about the series ? It is explained why we should link to the episodes.
Nowhere here was it explained why a movie would be linked to the episode, only that the movie on IMDb is believed by TMDb mods to be a duplicate and that IMDb must merge it with the episode. In fact the page linked only states the below. It says nothing about which id it should be linked to.
Episodes of an anthology series that are treated like TV movies (e.g. individual DVD release, theatrical release).
Per TMDb's own movie contribution bible, the wrong IMDb is linked in current state if the IMDb duplicates are not merged. Emphasis added. The movie is materially more complete than the episode.
When there are two duplicate entries on IMDb, we - recommend adding the ID of the original or most complete entry.
If a IMDb ID is locked and incorrect, usually as a result of duplicate entries being merged on IMDb, please report the issue.
recommend is not require and is a suggestion or preference, not a requirement.
Nothing has been stated for the unique scenario I presented - IMDb indicating the duplicates are not duplicates.
Perhaps it may be beneficial to get another mod's opinion on this matter given you seem to be non-responsive to specific details.
Taking in account that the original release of this "movie" was an episode of an anthology series, if they don't merge, the only correct IMDB for our database will be the one from the episode.

The correct IMDB Id is the one currently listed on this entry.
The one you indicate is a duplicate on IMDB. When they resolve their duplicate, only the smallest one will remain.

How is tt16343896 not the right one
tt0329200 is an episode of some supposed show called the Wonderful World of Disney
if the episode is truly correct why does Toy Story use tt0114709 instead of tt6318844
Beyond everything this just logically should point to the movie on IMDb not the show episode. Anyone coming to the TMDb Page for this Movie would also want the movie page on IMDb

As an example based on the popularity, length of time entry has existed and common sense https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6318844/ (Toy Story TV Episode) and https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0114709 (Toy Story Movie) are not considered duplicates by IMDb.

Request to merge submitted Contribution #221116-222052-954000
If they do not accept the merge, will TMDb's stance persist and still create IMDb rules that would not exist then?

On the Home Alone Fandom, you also have the indication that this is the same movie:
