On November 22, 1981, in the middle of their mammoth American tour, the Rolling Stones arrived in Chicago prior to playing 3 nights at the Rosemont Horizon. Long influenced by the Chicago blues, the band paid a visit to Muddy Waters' club the Checkerboard Lounge to see the legendary bluesman perform. It didn't take long before Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood, and Ian Stewart were joining in on stage and later Buddy Guy and Lefty Dizz also played their part. It was a unique occasion that was fortunately captured on camera. Now restored from the original footage and with sound mixed and mastered by Bob Clearmountain, this amazing blues night is being made available in an official release for the first time. |

Le 22 novembre 1981, au milieu de leur gigantesque tournée américaine, les Rolling Stones débarquent à Chicago avant de jouer 3 soirs au Rosemont Horizon. Longtemps influencé par le blues de Chicago et surtout par Muddy Waters, le groupe a rendu visite au club de Muddy Waters, le Checkerboard Lounge, pour voir le légendaire bluesman se produire. Il n'a pas fallu longtemps avant que les Stones ne se joignent à la scène. Les Rolling Stones tiennent leur nom d'un chanson de Muddy Waters. Enregistré le 22 novembre 1981 au Checkerboard Lounge (créé en 1972), à Bronzeville, Sud de Chicago. |

Molto influenzati dal blues di Chicago i ROLLING STONES vanno a visitare il Checkerboard Loung, il club di MUDDY WATERS dove il leggendario bluesman si sta esibendo. Basta un attimo e Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood e Ian Stewart salgono sul palco. Poco dopo si aggiungono anche BUDDY GUY e LEFTY DIZZ. Fortunatamente questa serata memorabile è stata immortalata dalle telecamere. Ora il filmato originale è stato restaurato. |
