I checked several different sources and none had it listed as a family movie. However, all of them had it listed as science fiction so I added that one.
The reason we lock data is to keep the user experience consistent. Otherwise genres will be added and deleted every week.
In my view Car and The Lion King are 100% movies for the family.
Back to "9"... is it a movie for the "family"? I would say yes (with older kids (+12))

Thank you for feedback.
The problem is that the tag "family" is often not used. For examble: The Lion King http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0110357/?ref_=nv_sr_1
http://www.themoviedb.org/movie/8587-the-lion-king (i add the tag)
Cars http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0317219/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1
http://www.themoviedb.org/movie/920-cars (i add the tag)

Greetings
