故事发生在80年代的加里西亚。比拉尔，一位40岁左右的女性，中产阶级，已婚，有三个儿子。他发现其中一个儿子染上了毒瘾。当看到责骂无济于事，儿子成了刑事犯，家庭生活开始无法避免地被破坏时，她决定除了自责再做些什么。比拉尔开始联合其他家庭的家长，主要是母亲们，开始艰难的旅程:抗议毒品贩子逍遥法外，抗议毒品交易。这些家长们的抗议将矛头直指政治权利，经济权利和社会大部分力量，他们的目的就是唤醒民众：吸毒者没有罪，他们只是可怕的当代流行病的受害者。

In the 1980's, Pilar, an ordinary woman, married, about forty years, discovers that one of their three children are addicted to heroin. After an initial period of uncertainty, Pilar contact with other parents in similar situations who come to a precarious Civic Center helps the addict, but soon realizes that many things have to change in and out of home so your child can be saved. Thus was born the desire to do more than complain and starts along with other parents, but especially mothers, an arduous journey of withdrawal of drug trafficking in Galicia.

Pilar negyvenes éveiben járó, háromgyermekes asszony. Élete gyökeresen megváltozik, amikor kiderül, hogy az egyik gyermeke rászokott a kábítószerre. A család lassan széthullik, és a fia egyre lejjebb csúszik a lejtőn. A bűntudat és a szégyenérzet leküzdése után Pilar elhatározza, hogy felveszi a harcot a kábítószer-kereskedőkkel. A hasonló cipőben járó szülőkkel összefogva, együtt próbálnak föllépni a társadalom közönyössége ellen. Küzdelmük eredményeként sikerül megváltoztatni az embereknek a kábítószerfüggőkről, illetve a kábítószer-kereskedőkről alkotott véleményét.

En la década de 1980, Pilar, una mujer corriente, casada, en torno a los cuarenta años, descubre que uno de sus tres hijos es adicto a la heroína. Después de un período inicial de incertidumbre, Pilar entra en contacto con otros padres en situación similar que acuden a un precario centro municipal de ayuda al toxicómano, pero pronto se da cuenta de que son muchas las cosas que tienen que cambiar fuera y dentro de casa para que su hijo se pueda salvar. Así nace su deseo de hacer algo más que lamentarse y emprende junto con otros padres un arduo viaje de denuncia del narcotráfico en Galicia.
