This was a very watchable and commendably unsentimental, surprisingly unflinching drama, with some notably superb cinematography. But I don't understand why the orchestral score had to be so overbearing at some points. Sometimes, natural sound or - at worst - light incidental music is the best option. It really distracted me from the story at times, that and the frankly rather inexpressive performance of the lead actress.
