I dug it when Stephanie told her father, Randy "the Ram," something to the effect of: "I don't love you. I don't hate you. I don't feel anything for you. I don't want anything to do with you." This was her way of taking away Randy's power over her, after that last crushing disappointment of his. I empathized with Randy at that moment because he was a well-written protagonist, but Stephanie had clearly had enough of his BS.
This was one of Darren Aronofsky's more easily relatable films.
