Ha, it was quite cheesy but it was early 90s I guess. Definitely an underrated Sam Raimi film. Some interesting set pieces and camera work, plus a great cast. Nice to see an early performance from Russell Crowe too.

Sam Raimi flicks are awesome. Heavy doses of cheese are mandatory. I don't remember much about this flick except the scene where someone gets shot and he cuts to their shadow and you see the sunlight shining through a bullet hole. HOW CAN YOU NOT LOVE IT.

But I think he really hit his peak with Drag Me To Hell. I mean... talking goats, girls puking kittens, an eyeball in your soup (as you chase it across a fancy dinner table), and someone getting a staple thru the eye. All I gotta say about Sam Raimi is "I'll have what he's having"

Even for the 90s this was some top grade cheese. Thoroughly entertaining though. 😄
