"The differences: in this scene of the movie "Legend (1985)" we see the original version with the fantastic theatrical music by Jerry Goldsmith which is only available in the European version including the Italian one. In the American version, on the other hand, the music and the soundtrack were entrusted to the group "Tangerine Dream", which created electronic music, and the dance lasts even less, a small part of the dance is cut."
I think I have only seen the American version once. A lady friend invited me over to her house to watch it with her and I fell asleep. This was definitely not the response she was hoping for.
I later bought it on BluRay, which has both versions. I only watch the European version. The music does a much better job of keeping me involved in the story.
I was thoroughly impressed with the production and costumes in this film. However, it was let down in its story and direction. There were some decent moments, but it falls short. I have only watched the American version, I don't think watching the European version will change my opinion that much. It's too bad because a lot of work was clearly put into the visual representation which, I think, with the proper story and direction could have made this into a way better success.
