This elderly sci fi has a lot going for it. Excellent performances by the two leads. A thoughtful and engaging plot. Deserves recognition

Wow, haven't seen this movie in years! I remember really liking it. I just checked and it's on youtube, but the quality is kinda bad.

It's one of those films I only caught a few minutes of here and there over the years; and I finally sat down to watch it in full. Some of the overly enthusiastic acting was a little hard to swallow but overall it was a decent remake of Hell in the Pacific in a fresh setting.
