Discuss Bloodsport

Do you know of any movies that are similar to "Bloodsport"?

The Tournament (2009) comes to mind although the fighting doesn't necessarily take place "in the ring" .

Edit: The good onesTM

There are the 3 Ong Bak (Thai) movies.

The American Ninja & American Kickboxer movies.

Also, aren't most of Van Dammes movies basically the same? Did you know that Van Damme received a 'Razzie' for worst new star for Bloodsport?

I think the secret tournament held somewhere with the best fighters in the world plot was used in about half of the martial arts themed movies of the 80's and 90's. If you want one of the better ones "Enter the dragon" still holds up pretty well. Olivier Gruner's "Savate" is also kind of fun in the sense that it changes the locale to a western setting.

These are all popular martial arts movies but I am going for ones that concentrate more on the tournament/championship aspect. For example the Undisputed collection. Also one's that are mentioned by @aholejones.

LOL, TIL.

Enter the dragon Surprised I forgot the classic.

Savate looks interesting... "story of the first kickboxer"...

They may be dime a dozen but I looking for the better ones. Definitely not the "cheesy" ones. For example "The Tournament (2009)" takes itself pretty seriously.

Ok, I guess I misunderstood what you were looking for. I generally do not watch those kinds of movies.

How about these:
