I could never understand why people seemed to dislike this film. I personally love it just as much as Night or Day. It has all the ingredients that make a great Romero zombie film. It also took a few risks setting it apart from other recent zombie flicks.
I think I'll be watching this tonight in honor of the great George A. Romero. RIP.

It has a little bit of a pacing problem in the middle as you wait for the zombies to attack yet it still holds up. I think it will take time to find an audience like day did

I enjoyed its offbeat humor and textured cast, which included John Leguizamo, Asia Argento, and the late Dennis Hopper. Good stuff. Enjoy!

I've just rewatched it (thank you Shout Factory) and it's much better than I remembered it.
I shall raise my rating from a 7 to 8.

I gave Night 9/10 - absolutely groundbreaking, smart ahead with a sensational climax.
I gave Day 8/10 - purely for sheer entertainment value
I gave this 5/10. It was going through the motions, like if Big Daddy was trying to direct a film.

I was amused by it - like when John Leguizamo's character gets bitten by a zombie and knows his number's up. IIRC, his friend offers to mercy-kill him, and he says, "I always wanted to know how the other half lives."
