Discuss Το Μυστηριώδες Κρύσταλλο

The movie is a prime example where men are given an important task and yet it falls on the female protagonist of the story to keep things together and finally save the day. The film starts off with Jen as he is given a task by his master to ultimately save not only their planet but the universe itself. He's given instructions to seek Aughra, The Keeper of Secrets, and find a shard and heal the Crystal. Being male, he is a bit thick so he can't piece together that he needs to take the shard to the crystal. When he gets out in the real world, he is literally a babe in the woods and gets stuck in a swamp and luckily for him, Kira shows up to get him out of the muck. Being female and being special, Kira possesses the gift communicate with the creatures in the wilderness and uses this a few times to advance the adventure. After Kira's village gets raided, Jen in a immature fit because men are such babies, throws the shard away and it is Kira that recovers it. When they are pushed against a cliff and all seems loss, it is Kira with her wings that allows them to escape to the bottom unscathed. At the bottom of the castle they discover an entrance to which Kira, with her superior woman's intuition, warns that it is a bad idea to go in there. Of course Jen, being a man and always acting first without thinking, convinces her that they must go on which results to Kira getting captured and Jen under a pile of rocks. Even Fizzgig, the little creature that accompanies them has more sense than Jen when he warns him not to step further to which Jen moronically ignores him and falls in a trap where he is surrounded by the foot soldiers the Garthim. Only because the Garthim who are no doubt all men and oafish in their manner as most men are, clumsily take a swing at Jen and reveal an opening in the cave that allows Jen to escape to the pit that the crystal is above. After Jen makes his way up to the top, he discovers the crystal. Instead of taking action right then and there while no one is around, he lollygags like a fool until the Skeksis make their way in and the Garthim then force him to hurriedly jump on to the crystal to which his clumsy ass drops the shard. Jen tells Kira to flee but Kira naturally grasping the dire straits of the situation, dives in and throws the shard back to Jen instructing him to heal the crystal at the cost of her own life. So, even this children's film clearly depicts the failure of men leadership. DOWN WITH THE PATRIARCY!

In case anyone is wondering, yes I'm totally fuckin' joking.

I'm totally bummed that the Netflix series, which IMO is superior, will not be getting a second season. It was really good!

I have not seen the series.
