I agree....I'm 22 yrs older than you and for me it still is the best year for movie releases. I bought my first VCR in 1983 and had a lot of enjoyment the next couple of years renting these movies.
In those days 10-12 bucks a day for a movie rental down at our local garage/machine shop. Five or six of us would walk in and search through maybe 4 or 5 movies on an old flat tire and thought that was the greatest thing....picked up a few cases of beer, phoned more friends, house was full, then we all watched that movie on a 19 inch TV....lol

Only one remake and two sequels in your list, compare that with any list of top movies this century.
In other words, back then more movie makers could still be original and could take risks, although they still used to jump on the bandwagon like they do today.

It's because home entertainment has improved, and also the internet. It used to be the case that you would have to wait years to see a film on video, and also it was a vastly inferior experience.
On the flipside, movies have gotten worse(or at least less diverse), but probably for the same reason we have the best and most diverse TV we have ever had. It used to be that people would just watch whatever was on, so TV would cater to the lowest common denominator to maximize ratings. But now there is so much choice that people can choose to only watch TV taht they really love. And improvement in technology means that a TV series can look incredibly cinematic now.
When I try to go back and watch TV series from the 80s, unless it's a sitcom they just seem terrible now. Knight Rider? The A-team? Awful. Even the Incredible Hulk is hard to watch now.

The remake is The Thing.

I don't really consider The Thing to be a "remake" of The Thing from Another World (no such film in 1951 called "The Thing" just The Thing from Another World) since they are 2 completely very very different movies with different titles but are separate films, it's actually rather another adaptation of the 1938 book that was loosely adapted in 1951 (Which was a poor adaptation of the book BTW) and is a more truer adaptation than the earlier film was as it's a new adaption of the book much like any film based on Dracula by Bram Stoker or Moby Dick the book or Lord of the Rings. Now The Blob or Ocean's 11 are real remakes since they are based on screenplays not based on books.
But yes 1982 sure was a fantastic year for movies eh?

And do you think Marvel Studios does better with Hulk even with the technology now? and how about a Knight Rider remake show or A-Team remake?

Firstly, you are comparing films with TV. I actually said TV had gotten better. And yes, the Marvel studios Hulk is pretty much perfect. But we are comparing apples to oranges.
Technology means that retakes are no longer incredibly expensive, and that you no longer need different types of film for Cinema and TV. It means that it's very simple to do an overhead shot with a drone, whereas previously you would have had to hire a helipcopter for instance. It means we get great cinematography in TV series that is as good as those in movies. It means that Netflix can produce high quality series without having to worry about demographics or ratings.
Game of thrones would not have been possible.
Oh and the A-team remake was not one of the biggest films of the year. I'm sure we can all find crappy films from any year. We are talking about the biggest films.

I hear what you're saying about The Thing. I guess we can't really put old Matt Dillon (James Arness) in the same category as the 1982 version....lol
Yes I remember them, 1982 sure came out with a few....a bit more, some good and some soso's....48hrs, Tootsie, Dead Men don't wear Plaid, An Officer and a Gentleman, Victor/ Victoria, Annie, Gandhi, The Verdict, Porky's, Sophie's Choice, World according to Garp, Night Shift.
