As an unapologetic ABBA fan I’ve been curious about this one, but I’m way too skeptical of modern musicals where people break out into song in the middle of the street, unless it’s deliberate absurdity/satire like in Mel Brooks flicks.

Been meaning to ask, does this musical take itself seriously or is it campy fun like Blazing Saddles?

It most definitely does not take itself seriously!
