Granted, Down Range was a much better film, but I love single location thrillers like this and there is some decent tension here.
But then they go and ruin it by making the killer your stereotypical coded right wing anti-vax anti-censorship Trump supporter gun nut. The killer even uses all the buzzwords "fake news", "woke", "conspiracy", "storm the capitol" etc just to beat you over the head with it. It's like they pulled his dialog straight off of Reddit. It'd be just as bad as if the killer was a stand-in for the Nashville school shooter or your typical Antifa communist, but at least that would be a bolder choice given how rare movies paint those types as villains. It's just so lazy and cringe.
Watch the movie on mute and it's pretty good otherwise.

Fret not, when Trump wins the coming elections and Antifa storms the capitol and gets a few people killed, I'm sure filmmakers will start portraying them as villains in movies. It's weird though that you group the Nashville school shooter with Antifa as though we don't collectively view school shooters are villains. Maybe you only view some school shooters as villains. That would explain it your comment.
"It's like they pulled his dialog straight off of Reddit." It's everywhere on the internet really.
