I was on my way through the labyrinthine digital cable "guide" by TV Guide when I happened to look at the balcony scene ("Go! Go! Go!") and the search for a movie this good stopped. More than other "reel" Presidents, "Dave" seems as far removed from the Oval office as Abraham Lincoln, these days. Oh well, one can dream and hope for someone half as good. (Morgan Freeman, as "President John Beck" hit it out of the park as the world was about to end in "Deep Impact," for instance.)
