Although the film is over 60 years old, teens today can still relate to it. The context of abortion surprised me since it was so taboo back then. His friend's attitude that the fetus was a living being was radical in that era, in addition to the dangers on unsterile conditions. Likewise, I never knew girls were blind folded to keep the abortionist's location discrete. However, I did hate viewers were left hanging at the end. Were the teens going to marry down the road, would her aunt or his parents adopt the baby? Overall a great melodrama.

According to reviews, the girl aborted the baby in the play, but in the movie, the guy, his father and her dad found the location in the nick of time and took her home. The movie leads you to believe they will eventually get married or coparent. Being the 50's, I am leaning on matrimony. Days of Our Lives MacDonald Carey plays one of the dads.
