I always loved his performance as 'Tomme', the teenager who as a young boy was abducted and raised by Amazonian indians, eventually tracked down by his father after years of searching. It's unfortunate that Boorman's (son of the film's director John) acting career never took off but he did have a new wave of exposure some years back in a series of TV shoes where he and Ewan McGregor travelled the world by motorbike!
