No it wasn't him, because the DNA didn't match, the message of the movie is sometimes you never the find the person who committed a crime, and we may never know who actually did it, and the kid saying he had an ordinary face represents that the murdered can be anyone and looks like a completely normal person. I love the ending cause it portrays the reality that not all murder cases get solved.

That was an excellent ending, Kang-ho Song just staring directly into the camera while a thousand thoughts race through his mind ... brilliant.
It only cost $2.8 million to make, I think Hollywood took a wrong turn somewhere.

So because murderers are ordinary people we should give up looking for them? I would expect asking her to provide details to make a sketch of suspect and looking through CCTV, they have his DNA after all, so it's not like they have no clue.
