Odd they went with a "lesser" sequel that many don't even remember, but its good to have Michael Myers back!!!!!
This was actually a solid sequel, part 2 is stuck in a hospital, pt 3 has no Myers, but this one is a bit more modern for those kiddies that don't like complete retro movies, and still vintage enough for accomplished fans. The blonde that gets killed in this movie.... Oulala
Badlands1, I'm gonna be rewatching III & IV this week...I remember very little of IV (or V for that matter). Oddly enough, one of the most maligned sequels (the 6th one), is the one I've seen & remember the most. A wigged out Paul Rudd and lots of subliminal Michael Myers hiding in the background...it has its weakness, but I like 6.

You will be in for a treat with 4... 5 and 6 is where they go all Hollywood and modern, I'm a retro guy I guess, but 4 has both aspects.
So me & my teens rewatched it the other night....my 17 year old son, who's favorite horror movie is the original Halloween mind you, was like "yeah, this wasn't that good". It definitely had its moments (the gas station scene, the multiple Michaels...which is gonna be GREAT in the new Haunt at Universal, the very ending with the "twist"), but some of the scenes in the house were just...meh! Michael's mask sucked and it was trying hard to borrow from the original...was definitely missing Carpenter's touch!
Once we do the Haunt at Horror Nights we'll likely keep going in the series. At least make it to H20 (I could careless if my kids bother with Resurrection).
