Yeah, it bombed at the box office, but I found this movie fun to watch.

Among other things, while some actors have built their careers on their physical comedy, Eddie Murphy shows his range includes physical comedy as well.

This film made some nifty social commentary - refreshing that the most common name in the world factored the whole world into it. Not perfectly, since "Dave" is not likely the most common first name on earth...but given the story is set in America, it does still make sense that his first name was Western, even as his last name, Ming Chang, was Asian.
