I liked the cinematography... I thought it was beautifully shot, mostly in the non-nude scenes...

I agree. It's too bad, at least from my search of Amazon, that this film (at least in the U.S.) is currently unavailable in either DVD or Blu-Ray format except as an import.

But, yes, a very "literary" film, slow and pleasantly meandering, with excellent photography.

Definitely not for the prudish, though.

Yeah, it's interesting in that it takes the young woman's perspective about her sexuality... but I do think some critics elevate the movie a bit too much, probably in response to the prudish criticism this kind of movie would face...

It's still just a movie about one young woman's sex...

You should be able to find it on Apple TV... I use that for most of my rentals now, although I do buy discs of movies I like.
