I am glad she ended up dead at the very end (the during the credits scene). At least that is what is implied. How on earth would she explain what happened to her brother and all the rest to the cops?
I always think that about the "lone survivor" of these supernatural killer films. What kind of believable story could they concoct? If every corpse was in the fire perhaps the fire could be blamed. But forensics being what they are nowadays, fire is not a sure "fire" way to cover up the real way people die Crazed strangers in masks killing everyone, cutting her hand off, yet she managed to escape them? Might work. Still... it would be a tough sell especially when her history is revealed. Though going from drug addict to mass killer is a huge step!

It would be like the Texas chainsaw massacre were they would launch one and find no trace perhaps.

You mean like an army investigation? Yeah, but the book is there. If she did not mention it... they might find the book along with the bodies, bring it back to civilization, and having to give Ash a ring! lol
Random attacks by gangs of crazies is not as crazy as once thought. In the opening scene there was a whole family\group of possible candidates so... a quick judgement may be made especially if said group starts talking about evil spells and the book of the dead.
