Discuss Return of the Living Dead

I love the character design of Tarman! Great zombie! Darn good film, too! For classic "zombie" I like the tall silent negroid zombie in I Walked with a Zombie.

I was 10 when I saw ROTLD in a very old single screen theater in Puerto Rico (of all places) and Tarman gave me NIGHTMARES for at least 3 nights!!!! His movement and voice...good God!

A lot of zombies have come before and after it, but Tarman still takes the taco man!!!!!

I logged on just to come here and post "Bub". Somebody beat me to it. Well played, sir.

Bub is a very cool zombie...iconic by all means, but he wasn't "groudbreaking" in Romero's "dead" movies. The whole "remembering" and "using tools/weapons"...I think everyone forgets the VERY FIRST onscreen ghoul in Night of the Living Dead used a ROCK to break into the car to get to Barbara..they been using tools for a long time! wink

You're right. Dang, now I have to go and watch Night of the Living Dead again. Well, what better way to spend Halloween night?

Which one was that? The one that was in the drum?
