Un hotel barato de Manhattan convertido en una obra de arte. Muy bello y misterioso, como espacio físico y psíquico nos remite a Edward Hooper. Hoy diríamos que es muy "cool", "hipster" y "vintage", casi un hotel del exquisito Upper East Side, pero la realidad es que era un hotel para outcasts, para desclasados, desarraigados y alienados. Cada uno de los largos planos no remiten a un lugar sórdido, por el contrario, la propia forma lo transforma en un espacio muy hermoso, desde la recepción a la azotea, pasando por los largos corredores que evocan una prístina belleza o una inquietud misteriosa según estén filmados a una hora diferente y con un encuadre diferente. |
