Loved the Seinfeld parody of the final scene.

I really respect this performance, because he hardly looks like Nixon at all, but after awhile, it's easy to forget that. I feel like Hopkins got something about the essence of his subject in the film. This is part of Oliver Stone's apex for me.

the 1960 Nixon and 1968 Nixon don't look exactly the same either. He looked he ages 20 year s instead of 8.

I found him a little too hammy - although I'm sure it's difficult to resist the temptation to play Nixon that way. Overall I preferred Frank Langella's later take, much more nuanced.

Joan Allen was pretty wonderful as Pat Nixon. I thought that she wiped the floor with Hopkins.

I really enjoyed Hopkins' portrayal of Nixon, despite all the behind-the-scenes criticisms. The film as a whole was quite captivating by and large, and Hopkins just about got the role just right.
