劍神鳳擎天（徐少強）一向以除魔伏妖為己任，與樹妖姥姥決戰後敗傷而回，另書生洛知秋（黃耀明）因追趕商旅不果而在黑山上邂逅一直為姥姥殺人的小雪（鍾楚紅），兩人兩情相悅，小雪更不惜放棄千年道行而與知秋結婚，正當他們過著愉快生活時，姥姥的追尋已開始了……

A poor scholar named Lo Chih-Chiu, played by Anthony Wong Yiu-Ming, rescues a swallow from three mischievous boys, and frees the bird afterward. The bird then magically takes the form of a beautiful lady named Hsiao-Hseuh, played by Cherie Chung, who falls in love with the scholar because he had saved her life. She returns the deed by rescuing him from a ruthless band of warlords. She and her sister, Hsiao-Shang, are both originally swallows, but can change into human forms due to witchcraft and wizardry. Hsiao-Hseuh later confronts Chih-Chiu, and later reveals she is a servant of an evil witch queen, who feeds on human blood. When the witch discovers their friendship and bond, she was on the verge of destroying him, but Hsiao-Hseuh pleads for his life in exchange for their separation. After being back in the custody of the witch queen, Hsiao-Hseuh sneaks out and reunites with Chih-Chiu, but posing as a different person to hide her identity.

Remake des Histoires de Fantômes Chinois où l'on retrouve à nouveau un jeune homme qui tombe amoureux d'une jolie fantômette. Celle-ci est chargée avec sa sœur de ramener des hommes pour que leur marâtre puisse boire leur énergie. Heureusement, deux taoïstes qui manient très bien l'épée seront là pour aider notre jeune héros à lutter contre les bandits et les mauvais esprits. Parallèlement à nos deux "Laurel et Hardy", un autre swordsman chasseur de démon veille. Ce dernier a juré la perte du Monstre des Neiges qui hante les Montagnes Noires.

서생 지락추는 산길을 가다 사당에서 빙잠(얼음 누에고치)에 휘감겨 죽은 상인들의 시체를 발견하고 경악을 금치 못한다. 그때, 산적들이 나타나 상인들의 금품을 강탈하는데 지락추는 두려움에 뒤주속에 숨는다. 돌연 일진한풍이 몰아쳐오고 돌품이 멎자 더많은 시체들이 빙잠에 휘감겨 있고 귀신들이 허공에서 나타나 시체들의 피를 빤다. 귀신들은 지락추의 냄새를 맞고 뒤주로 접근하는데 소설(눈의 요정)이 나타나 교묘한 방법으로 지락추를 구출한다. 그러나 도교파 두 검객들은 을 귀신으로 착각해 공격한다. 오해를 풀고 지락추와 소설은 짧은로맨스를 맺는데 그들의 사랑을 시기한 귀신들에게 들키고 지락추의생명을 구하기 위해 소설은 희생을 자처하는데.
