I think comedy is a perfect fit. It's been a while since I saw it, but I remember non-stop laughing throughout the screening. I think the writing is definitely aiming for comedy throughout the movie. The fact that there's also a seriousness to everything that happens should not prevent comedy from being one of the genres listed.
