The endings of John Carney films

I've seen and enjoyed Once, Begin Again, Sing Street and (this weekend) Flora and Son. Not that the endings to any of them were terrible or depressing, but does anyone else wish John Carney would go a bit "bigger" with his endings? Or do people prefer the more low key and possibly realistic endings the films have?
