Una observació entre bastidors, tendra i elegantment intensa, al Concurs Internacional de Piano Frédéric Chopin que se celebra a Varsòvia des de 1927. La càmera segueix, abans i durant l’esdeveniment, un grapat de joves pianistes que competeixen en aquestes “Olimpíades del piano”, un món d’exigència extrema, de passió, angoixa, rituals i força mental. Com si els anés la vida en cada nota i en cada gest.
