Who else feels the film just isn't that scary, compared to the novel? I'm sure the PETA people would have an interesting time narrating the use of the Saint Bernard as a "villain" today, while Stephen King's writing just trumps the imagery completely.
I hate to be a downer, but I feel like the choice to not kill off the Tad character was faulty, as well.
