When Scrooge talks to his childhood friends, when the Ghost of Christmas Past tells him "These are shadows of the past. Well, clearly not, seeing as she did tell him they couldn't see him because they were of the past, but she forgot to mention that even if they could see him, they wouldn't know he was their friend

I don't care about Michael Caine, or the Jaws films- I'm trying to have a general discussion about this. My bro has said that the explanation about the past was necessary for the kids, which, yeah, ok, fine, but what about this one?
