Wood's wooden acting...

...was the main issue I had with this film. If he had just delivered his lines more convincingly, then the movie would've been a lot better.

His acting garnered him awards, he was playing a psychopath, they don't tend to do things like smiling and snapping their fingers.

I had no problems with his acting but I think the original "Maniac" (1980) is much better and scarier, even by today' standards

I liked his performance in this. I am a fan of a lot of his more recent films and tv show, though

I think the movie was dreadful. The first person view SUCKED soooooo BAD!!
