Definitely the best of all the sequels, very entertaining and I like all the characters. For me though, the original is the best because it's the scariest one.

2 is great. The hatred seems to be that Freddy enters the real world but it works as a one off movie.

I like part 2 a lot also, it still has a dark and scary tone much like the original, and not as much jokiness as the following sequels.

I'm in minority but I love part 4 the most. Alice is my favorite character in this franchise

Wes Craven's original is the best of the series.
