Serija je otkazana 2002. godine (naime, u prvoj epizodi četvrte sezone, prvoj objavljenoj poslje pauze, Piter Grifin govori o otkazivanju), ali nakon izvanrednih reakcija publike posle izlaska serija na DVD i puštanja repriza na kanalu Kartun Netvork (Cartoon Network), FOKS je nastavio produkciju serije 2005. godine.
