Biolog-parret (Isaac og Portman) deltager frivilligt i en hemmelig mission i et fremmed territorium – en afskåret skov, hvor et formskiftende Aurora Borealis-lignende væsen venter. Andre har tidligere vovet sig ind i området med katastrofale følger.

Der blev ikke forventet særlig meget af den kvikke, men dovne kosmologistuderende Stephen Hawking, da han som 21-årige blev diagnosticeret med den dødelige sygdom amyotrofisk lateralsklerose og får to år at leve i. Men på universitet i Cambridge møder han den kunststuderende Jane Wilde og hendes kærlighed gav ham styrken til at kæmpe for sit liv. Hawking ender med både at blive udråbt som Einsteins efterfølger og far til tre børn. I løbet af deres ægteskab lammes Stephens krop langsomt samtidig med, at hans akademiske omdømme når nye højder. Hawkings sygdom sætter deres forhold på alvorlige prøver og ændrer deres liv for altid. I hovedrollerne kan man opleve Eddie Redmayne og Felicity Jones.

Som følge af et mislykket videnskabeligt forsøg ankommer anden Howard til Jorden fra Ande-planeten. Den talende, cigarrygende and prøver at få det bedst mulige ud af sit ufrivillige ophold. Forskerne bag eksperimentet lugter penge og berømmelse, og de prøver af fange den festglade Howard. I mellemtiden er en anden fremmed livsform ankommet til jorden, og den har ikke fredelige hensigter.

Vi er i en nær fremtid. Planetens energiproblemer er muligvis på nippet til at blive løst, da firmaet Alterplex Corporation starter deres nye energikilde 'the tower', der skal suge energi fra en parallel verden ind i vores. Det går naturligvis ikke helt efter hensigten, og det bliver op til den tidligere NASA pilot Will Porter (Dan Stevens) at tage på en hemmelig mission til den alternative verden for at løse problemet. Store dele af filmen ses fra hans synspunkt i klassiske computerspil POV stil.

I 1942 bliver en rulle mikrofilm smuglet ud fra tungtvandsanlægget i Telemarken i det tyskbesatte Norge. Filmen antyder, at nazisterne kan være tæt på at udvikle verdens første atombombe. Projektet må stoppes, og med livet som indsats får en lille gruppe norske modstandsfolk til opgave at sabotere anlægget.

Jim Beale og to af hans venner har konstrueret et vanvittigt eksperiment. En tidsmaskine! Det kan naturligvis ikke lade sig gøre at bygge sådan et apparat, eller kan det? Den første test er ikke lovende, men snart begynder der at ske nogle mystiske ting, og det går op for trekløveret, at eksperimentet måske ikke gik så galt, som de først troede. Og hvad med den mystiske kvinde, som Jim pludselig er stødt på. Har hun skumle motiver?

Mandskabet om bord på en atomdrevet undervandsbåd må kæmpe imod sabotører, gigantiske havuhyrer og angreb fra andre undervandsbåde for at redde menneskeheden fra en global katastrofe, der truer alt liv på jorden. Indholdsmæssigt er Irwen Allens film det rene nonsens, men de forbløffende visuelle effekter og den flotte undervandsfotografering gør den til en af de mere mindeværdige SciFi-film i genren.

On the day of the autumn festival parade, the man was killed. Physicist Manabu Yukawa, Detective Kaoru Utsumi and Detective Shunpei Kusanagi work together on his case.
