Biopic del icónico guerrillero y revolucionario Ernesto 'Che' Guevara, basado en su diario. I parte. Narra el periodo de la guerrilla en Sierra Maestra, bajo el mando de Fidel Castro, desde el desembarco del Granma en diciembre de 1956, hasta la huida de Batista, presidente que gobernaba Cuba con el beneplácito de los americanos desde 1952... En el Festival de Cannes "Che" se emitió íntegramente (cuatro 4 horas y media). En los cines comerciales se emitió dividida en dos películas: "Che: El argentino" y "Guerrilla".

Es 1958. Tras instalarse en La Habana, a donde ha sido destinado su padre, en la joven Katey Miller se despierta una entusiasta curiosidad por la cultura hispana. Después de recibir clases de bailes de salón, se une al grupo de jóvenes americanos que se alojan también en el exclusivo hotel Océana. Allí conoce a Javier, camarero y excelente bailarín. Decidida a aprender esos ritmos que Javier parece llevar en la sangre, Katey lo convence para que sea su pareja en un prestigioso concurso nacional de baile que se celebra en el club Palace. Así empezarán a ensayar sensuales y armoniosos pasos en el Havana nightclub, mientras la pasión va surgiendo entre ellos.

Ernesto es un joven estudiante de medicina de 23 años de edad, especializado en lepra. Alberto es un bioquímico de 29 años. Ambos jóvenes emprenden un viaje de descubrimiento de la rica y compleja topografía humana y social del continente hispanoamericano. Los dos dejaron atrás el familiar entorno de Buenos Aires en una desvencijada motocicleta Norton de 500 cc, imbuidos de un romántico espíritu aventurero.
