Blu is een zeldzame hyacinthara die denkt dat hij de laatste van zijn soort is. Wanneer hij echter ontdekt dat dit helemaal niet zo is, besluit hij zijn kooi in Minnesota te verlaten en op reis te gaan naar Rio de Janeiro. Samen met Jewel, de andere zeldzame papegaai van zijn soort, komt Blu in een onverwacht avontuur terecht.

Wanneer de koningin van een paradijselijk eiland verdwijnt, wordt Tweety onverwacht de volgende in de rang voor de kroon. De entourage van Zijne Kleine Hoogheid bestaat uit motor waaghals Oma en sluwe Sylvester, wiens trouw op de proef wordt gesteld wanneer hij een sinister complot ontdekt om Tweety voorgoed uit de weg te ruimen. Veren en vachten vliegen rond in dit hilarische verhaal dat bewijst dat koningschap - en loyaliteit - in vele soorten en maten kan voorkomen.

Irena Dubrovna is een mooie, mysterieuze Servische vrouw die nu in New York woont. Technisch tekenaar Oliver Reed wordt verliefd op haar en ze trouwen. Hun huwelijk staat zo onder druk, dat Irene soms denkt dat ze heel lang geleden vervloekt is.

De film is gebaseerd op de bildungsroman-memoires van schrijver A. E. Hotchner uit het depressietijdperk en volgt het verhaal van een jongen die worstelt om in zijn eentje te overleven in een hotel in St. Louis nadat zijn moeder vanwege tuberculose in een sanatorium is opgenomen. Zijn vader, een Duitse immigrant en handelsreiziger die voor de Hamilton Watch Company werkt, maakt lange reizen waarvan de jongen niet zeker weet of hij zal terugkeren.

Thomas the cat finds Tweetie in the snow, warming himself by a cigar butt. Thomas's mistress rescues the little yellow bird before her cat can devour him, but Thomas doesn't give up.

Tweety and Sylvester are Granny's pets in the Spinsters Arms Hotel, where pets aren't allowed.

Sylvester Cat tumbles and falls dazed to the floor when making a grab for Tweety Bird. He comes to and thinks he has killed and swallowed the little canary and that he's wanted for murder.

Sylvester's carnivorous pursuit of Tweety Bird continues, winding up the cat's spirit in Hell, where he meets a satanic bulldog.

Tom sets out to capture and eat a canary.

Sylvester Cat and Tweety Bird are snowbound in a mountain cabin, and though Tweety has lots of bird seed, Sylvester will starve unless he can cook the unsuspecting Tweety. Meanwhile, a starving mouse thinks Sylvester is edible.

An old woman has a cat, a dog, and a canary. The cat and dog fight even worse than normally. Fed up, she tells them both off, then threatens to throw them both out if there's any more trouble.

Sylvester Cat pays a visit to a closed-to-business circus and finds Tweety Bird in one of the cages. Tweety escapes and a mad chase ensues. Meanwhile, Sylvester must flee from an uncaged lion he angered earlier.

A canary is frustrated by being caged. One day the kind old lady who owns him opens a nearby window, and also leaves the door to the cage open. Freedom! But it's not all it's cracked up to be.

It's 1980. Malin is fatherless, angry, and in trouble. At 20, he's spent a year in jail for assaulting a lover of Lily, his mother. In her desk he finds a soldier's photograph and assumes he's found his father. He confronts the man, now a teacher, and gets nowhere. At home again, he mocks his mother. Finally, she tells him her grim story, from the year before his birth. We see a people's court, where Lily's parents seek justice for their grandchild to be. We follow Lily to a prison camp, to the city where she's told to inform on the only person who's been kind, to an asylum, and finally to her current poverty and loneliness. How will Malin respond to these revelations?

An elderly man pines away in a nursing home. His family calls on him out of a guilty conscience, but they try to get away from the stuffy atmosphere as soon as possible. The old man obliges them and behaves unresponsive. But as soon as everybody is gone, he smiles contented while softly speaking to his canary Arie. The human form the bird suddenly assumes is the kick-off for an adventure.

The Confederate Army wants to get an important message through to General Lee, but all the carrier pigeons have been shot down. Tweety steps in.
