Blu è un ara macao strappato in fasce alla giungla brasiliana. Trasferito nel freddo inverno del Minnesota in seguito a un incidente, viene adottato da Linda, fanciulla appassionata di libri e della vita sedentaria. Addomesticato e cresciuto a cioccolata e biscotti, Blu è un pappagallo colto che sperimenta la vita tra quattro mura. Incapace di volare a causa della cattività, compensa la deficienza con l'ingegno e la fantasia. Raggiunta da Tullio, un ornitologo entusiasta, Linda scopre di essere la proprietaria dell'unico esemplare maschio della specie e di avere l'obbligo morale di concedere che il suo grazioso pennuto si accoppi con Gioiel, magnifica e sola femmina rimasta sul territorio brasiliano. Perplessi ma persuasi di fare la cosa giusta, Linda e Blu partono alla volta del Brasile per conoscere una celeste ara. Nella giungla amazzonica Blu scoprirà la propria identità, imparando ad amare e a volare.

Thomas the cat finds Tweetie in the snow, warming himself by a cigar butt. Thomas's mistress rescues the little yellow bird before her cat can devour him, but Thomas doesn't give up.

Tom sets out to capture and eat a canary.

Tweety and Sylvester are Granny's pets in the Spinsters Arms Hotel, where pets aren't allowed.

Sylvester Cat pays a visit to a closed-to-business circus and finds Tweety Bird in one of the cages. Tweety escapes and a mad chase ensues. Meanwhile, Sylvester must flee from an uncaged lion he angered earlier.

Sylvester Cat tumbles and falls dazed to the floor when making a grab for Tweety Bird. He comes to and thinks he has killed and swallowed the little canary and that he's wanted for murder.

The Confederate Army wants to get an important message through to General Lee, but all the carrier pigeons have been shot down. Tweety steps in.

Sylvester's carnivorous pursuit of Tweety Bird continues, winding up the cat's spirit in Hell, where he meets a satanic bulldog.

It's 1980. Malin is fatherless, angry, and in trouble. At 20, he's spent a year in jail for assaulting a lover of Lily, his mother. In her desk he finds a soldier's photograph and assumes he's found his father. He confronts the man, now a teacher, and gets nowhere. At home again, he mocks his mother. Finally, she tells him her grim story, from the year before his birth. We see a people's court, where Lily's parents seek justice for their grandchild to be. We follow Lily to a prison camp, to the city where she's told to inform on the only person who's been kind, to an asylum, and finally to her current poverty and loneliness. How will Malin respond to these revelations?

Sylvester Cat and Tweety Bird are snowbound in a mountain cabin, and though Tweety has lots of bird seed, Sylvester will starve unless he can cook the unsuspecting Tweety. Meanwhile, a starving mouse thinks Sylvester is edible.

An old woman has a cat, a dog, and a canary. The cat and dog fight even worse than normally. Fed up, she tells them both off, then threatens to throw them both out if there's any more trouble.

Vedendo gli uccelli volare fuori dalla finestra, un canarino desidera uscire dalla gabbia in cui è rinchiuso. Quando l'anziana proprietaria lascia accidentalmente la gabbia aperta, il canarino ne approfitta e vola via. Arrivato in un giardino, si imbatte in alcuni animali tra cui un gatto che lo insegue e quasi lo mangia. Il canarino viene però salvato da un fulmine che colpisce il parafulmini su cui il gatto ha avvolto la coda, facendo scappare via il felino dolorante. Capendo che il mondo esterno non è bello come se l'era immaginato, il canarino vola a casa e rientra nella sua gabbia.

An elderly man pines away in a nursing home. His family calls on him out of a guilty conscience, but they try to get away from the stuffy atmosphere as soon as possible. The old man obliges them and behaves unresponsive. But as soon as everybody is gone, he smiles contented while softly speaking to his canary Arie. The human form the bird suddenly assumes is the kick-off for an adventure.
