A flea sets up its new home in the fur of a sleeping dog.

The fates of two people align as a beggar tries to steal money from a sleeping newspaper boy. Instead of reporting the crook to the police, the benevolent boy buys him a hearty meal, convinces him to give up drinking and helps him back onto the right path in life. The rest of the family disagrees, because the last one disappointed her. In a story of family situations, funny moments and jealousy, Alberto ends up earning everyone's respect and has a special connection with the oldest daughter, the beautiful Susana, and they fall in love.
