Brian Slade, uma estrela do "glam-rock" norte-americano dos anos 70, finge a sua morte em palco e desaparece misteriosamente. Dez anos mais tarde, um jornalista de investigação, Arthur, decide procurá-lo e começa a recolher depoimentos de muitos dos que com ele viveram o "glamour" dos anos 70. A determinada altura Arthur encontra Curt Wild, amante e fonte de inspiração de Slade, e a história dos três personagens cruza-se então numa tentativa de reconstrução dos seus percursos desde a adolescência, que passa necessariamente pela descoberta da música, do "glamour" e da sexualidade.
Swan (Paul Williams) é um famoso produtor de discos, que rouba de Winslow Leach (William Finley), um desconhecido compositor, uma cantata que retrata a trajetória de Fausto, o lendário mago, que vendeu sua alma ao diabo. Winslow tenta protestar, mas acaba sendo incriminado por Swan e é condenado à prisão perpétua como traficante, sendo enviado para Sing Sing. Enquanto Swan planeja usar a música roubada para inaugurar o "Paraíso", uma nova casa de espetáculos que está planejada para ser o novo templo do rock, Winslow consegue fugir da prisão. Ele pretende se vingar de Swan, mas sofre um terrível acidente em uma prensa de disco, que deixa seu rosto desfigurado. Perseguido por um guarda, Winslow acaba caindo em um rio, sendo dado como morto. Porém alguns acidentes começam a acontecer quando Swan está prestes a inaugurar o "Paraíso".

O sentimento que se tinha ao encontrar a outra metade era o amor. Desse dia em diante, Hedwig decidiu que encontraria sua metade perdida.

The Nottingham Tapes is the second concert video released by the Finnish glam punk band Hanoi Rocks. The first video released by the band was All Those Wasted Years, recorded at the Marquee Club in London. As stated in the title, this video was shot at the Nottingham Palais in Nottingham England. The video was shot on April 23, 1984, almost eight months before the death of the band's drummer Razzle. The video features songs that would later be released on the band's next album, Two Steps from the Move, such as "Underwater World", "Don't You Ever Leave Me" and the cover of "Up Around the Bend". During the performance of the last song of the set, the cover of the Ramones "Blitzkrieg Bop", vocalist Michael Monroe and Razzle switched places, so Razzle sang and Monroe played drums. While playing the song, fans jumped on-stage, and bouncers had to come and throw the people off the stage.
In 1973, Sweet were the subject of a documentary All That Glitters for BBC Schools series Scene. Being intended for “educational purposes,” the program had to pose a relevant topic for debate among its teenage audience—in this case, “Is the music business really that glamorous?” Over a period of two to three days, Scene followed the band members Brian Connolly (vocals), Steve Priest (bass/coals), Andy Scott (guitar) and Mick Tucker (drums) as they rehearsed for a Top of the Pops appearance (which led to an outcry over Priest’s Nazi outfit) and their (now hailed as “legendary”) Christmas show at London’s Rainbow Theater.
