Cada temporada de Kamen Rider presenta una historia diferente con personajes y tramas independientes, aunque todas siguen un esquema similar. El protagonista suele ser un motorista que por diversos medios, la mayor de las veces tecnológicos y a veces mágicos o combinación de ambos según la temporada, se transforma, siempre utilizando la frase Henshin ("transformación") en un superhéroe llamado Kamen Rider con un traje blindado y una máscara que generalmente está decorada recordando a un insecto.En unas temporadas hay un solo Kamen Rider, mientras que en otras hay dos o más, habiendo algunas que presentan más de diez Riders diferentes. Estos Riders luchan contra enemigos diversos o incluso a veces entre ellos. Los poderes del Kamen Rider siempre tienen un origen estrechamente relacionado con los villanos, pero usa esos poderes para el bien en lugar de para el mal, y esta relación se convierte en fuente de conflictos argumentales según la temporada.

En la ciudad de Fuuto, los delincuentes utilizan dispositivos similares a USB llamados "Gaia Memories" para convertirse en monstruos con superpoderes conocidos como "Dopants", que causan estragos en la pacífica ciudad. Sin embargo, también hay héroes que utilizan Gaia Memories para luchar contra estos criminales, uno de los cuales es el autoproclamado y duro detective Shoutarou Hidari. Con la ayuda de su ingenioso compañero Philip, los dos se transforman en Kamen Rider W, el héroe legendario de la ciudad de Fuuto.

Kouga se apiada de ella y trata de encontrar una manera de purificar su alma antes de su expiración. Así, la serie se centra en el desarrollo de la relación de Kouga con Kaoru y su posición en la protección de la humanidad después de su padre, que fue su predecesor con el título de Garp.

As a result, the space pirates use "pirate copies" of the powers of the older teams and fight the Zangyack forces as the Gokaigers.

Taiyo Sentai Sun Vulcan is the fifth season in Toei Company's Super Sentai tokusatsu television series. It was broadcast from February 7, 1981, to January 30, 1982, and is the only Super Sentai series to serve as a direct sequel to its previous series and the only all-male Super Sentai team. Its international English title as listed by Toei is simply Sun Vulcan. This was the last Sentai season to be co-produced with Marvel Comics.
