Mark, a middle-aged sellout, is trying to write an album to verify his integrity as a songwriter and musician, but writer's block is plaguing his creative process. Lack of proper sleep and intense stress cause hallucinations for Mark, of which then become the inspiration for his songs.

A successful writer faces the pressures of finishing her latest novel all while the main character she has written hunts her down, demanding an ending to her story.
