《原罪犯》劇情描述，大秀（崔岷植 飾）是個平凡無奇的生意人，某天卻突然被人綁走，對於被綁架的這段時間毫無記憶，醒來時他發現自己身在一間密室當中，房間中只有一台電視。不知道如何離開的大秀每日無所事事，某天在房間看電視時竟得知妻子慘遭殺害，而犯罪嫌疑人居然正是自己，頓時感到憤怒不已，內心震驚、哀傷複雜情緒交錯，大秀告訴自己不能坐以待斃，並開始用湯匙在地上慢慢挖掘地道，希望總有一天能逃出密室，尋找事件真相。 過了漫長的十五年，大秀終於逃出了密室，重新回到社會中。他將自己不幸的經歷告訴巧遇的一位女子美度（姜惠貞 飾），於是美度決定要和大秀一同追查這起離奇事件。大秀卻在這時候接到一通電話，電話的另一頭告訴他，必須在五天內查出自己被囚禁的原因，否則就殺死美度……

A destitute man ready to drown himself is rescued by a caring passing woman. Soon thereafter forgiven by his dying father, he inherits great wealth and becomes engaged to a society woman. When she only laughs at the poor on a slumming trip, he remembers his own past and the woman who saved him.
