Prožili spolu nejkrásnější chvíle života a slíbili si, že už se nikdy nerozejdou - až do oné osudné noci, kdy pýcha lidstva narazila v Severním moři do ledovce, který Titanic neúprosně poslal ke dnu. Krásná romance se změnila ve zběsilý a tragický boj o záchranu. Kolik jim zbývá? Hodina, možná dvě...

Naši hrdinové z prostředí pod bodem mrazu se vracejí: chlupatý mamut Manny, lenochod Sid, šavlozubý tygr Diego a prehistorická kryso-veverka, věčná smolařka Kryserka. Naše trojice hrdinů stále drží pospolu a užívá si výhody světa, který je ve stavu tání. Žijí v primitivní verzi vodního parku, nabité vodními skluzavkami, bazény s vlnami a spoustou zvířat užívajících si sluníčka. Manny kolem sebe vidí rodiny držící se pohromadě a cítí se připraven založit vlastní rodinu. Nikdo v okolí ale nezahlédnul jiného mamuta celou věčnost, Manny se obává, že může být posledním žijícím mamutem. Potom ale potká Ellie, poslední samici mamuta na světě. Špatné je, že Ellie má problémy ohledně pochopení své identity, což klade na Mannyho mnoho neobyčejných nároků. Naštěstí má Sida a Diega, kteří mu pomáhají projít očistcem namlouvání…

V nacistickém Německu byla roku 1943 natočena výpravná rekonstrukce námořní katastrofy z roku 1912. Kvůli silně zaměřené propagandě zde ředitel společnosti White Star Line Bruce Ismay (Ernst Fritz Fürbringer) vystupuje jako zákeřný Žid, který havárii zaviní svou chamtivostí. Film se snaží ukázat rozpínavost britských kapitalistů. Snímek natáčel režisér Herbert Selpin, který však byl uvězněn, o dokončení se tedy postaral Werner Klingler. Promítal se pouze v okupovaných zemích včetně protektorátu Čechy - Morava.

Málokdo tušil, že toto bude noc, na kterou nikdy nezapomenou. Je 14. dubna roku 1912, krátce před půlnocí. Největšímu a nejluxusnějšímu plavidlu své doby se do cesty postaví obrovský ledovec. Trhlina v boku Titaniku znamená rozsudek smrti nejen pro samotnou loď, ale i 1500 cestujících, na které nezbude v záchranných člunech místo. Černobílé zpracování jedné z největších námořních katastrof je soustředěno hlavně okolo druhého důstojníka lodi, Charlese Herberta Lightollera (Kenneth More).

The story is based on the real events of 1985. The team of a Russian polar icebreaker “Mikhail Gromov” discovered a giant iceberg. The ship came into collision while attempting to take cover from the weather and is forced to drift with ice along the Amundsen Sea coast. The crew of “Gromov” spent 133 days of polar night trying to find a way out of their icy trap. They have no room for mistakes; one wrong move and the vessel is crushed by ice.

One of the largest and most luxurious passenger liners at the time, the Titanic was also equipped with watertight compartments, which led many to consider the ship unsinkable; an anonymous deckhand famously claimed that “God himself could not sink this ship.” On April 14, however, the ship struck an iceberg, and early the next day it sank. Some 1,500 people perished.
