Die erste Etappe seines Trips führt ihn nach Paris, wo sich der naive und unerfahrene junge Mann mit dem Kleinkriminellen Charlie anfreundet. Gemeinsam begehen sie Wohnungseinbrüche, und Charlie nimmt Stefan mit zu Partys, wo die Pariser Szene Tequila trinkt, kifft und knutscht. Stefan lernt Estelle kennen und verliebt sich in die hübsche, unkonventionelle Amerikanerin. Sie schlägt ihm vor, sie nach Ibiza zu begleiten, wo sie den Sommer verbringen will. Auf der sonnigen Mittelmeerinsel verhält sie sich allerdings zunächst abweisend. Stefan spürt, dass sie ihm etwas verbergen will. Misstrauisch fragt er sich, was sie mit dem Hotelbesitzer Wolf zu tun hat, einem älteren Deutschen mit Nazivergangenheit. Als Stefan und Estelle in ein einsam gelegenes Haus ziehen, kann Estelle nicht mehr verheimlichen, dass sie Heroin nimmt. Sie überredet ihn, es auch zu versuchen.
Pink Floyd: Live at Pompeii ist ein Musikfilm aus dem Jahre 1972 von Adrian Maben, der die britische Band Pink Floyd bei der Aufführung von sechs ihrer Songs im Amphitheater in Pompeii, Italien zeigt. Die Aufführung der Songs Echoes, A Saucerful of Secrets und One of These Days wurde zwischen dem 4. Oktober 1971 und 7. Oktober 1971 aufgenommen. Die restlichen Songs des Films wurden in einem Studio in Paris zwischen 1971 und Anfang 1972 aufgenommen. Diese Version des Films wurde im September 1972 in die Kinos gebracht und ist auch als Bonusmaterial auf der DVD-Version des Films zu sehen. Im August 1974 wurde eine weitere Version des Films veröffentlicht, die den bisherigen Film mit Studioaufnahmen in den Abbey Road Studios ergänzte. Die Aufnahmen zeigten die Musiker bei der Erstellung des Albums The Dark Side of the Moon. Die Filmaufnahmen waren nachgestellt, da die Band zu diesem Zeitpunkt mit den Aufzeichnungen zum Album fertig war und schon die Abmischung vornahm.
Viviane, a French Consul's wife, is in New Guinea to find exotic feathers for export to Paris. She encounters four European travelers who are en route to "La Vallée": The Valley, high in the Guinean mountains, is shown on maps as 'obscured by clouds' and is beyond their previous experiences. Viviane joins their trek to find rare feathers and soon becomes entwined in their journey. Their extended stay with the Mapuga tribe brings a denouement between western and indigenous values before their final quest toward the 'Valley of the Gods'.

The iconic 1977 Pink Floyd album has been remixed for the first time by James Guthrie. Animals is a concept album, focusing on the social-political conditions of mid-1970s Britain, and was a change from the style of the band's earlier work. The album was developed from a collection of unrelated songs into a concept which describes the apparent social and moral decay of society, likening the human condition to that of animals. Taking inspiration from George Orwell's Animal Farm, the album depicts the different classes of people as animals with pigs being at the top of the social chain, dropping down to the sheep as the mindless herd following what they are told, with dogs as the business bosses getting fat on the money and power they hold over the other. Although it's been a long time since 1977, the narrative of the album still resonates today as our social and economic situation mirrors that of the time.

The recording session was filmed with a Coutant camera on 16mm black and white reversal stock. The rushes were found again by the filmmaker and are now preserved at the Cinémathèque française. They have never been seen except for a ten-minute excerpt used in the director's cut of Pink Floyd: Live at Pompeii.
