Leta 1961 je šestdesetletni taksist Kempton Bunton iz Narodne galerije v Londonu ukradel znameniti Goyev portret vojvode Wellingtona. V zameno za vrnitev slike je zahteval nenavadno odkupnino – britanska vlada naj nameni več pozornosti (in denarja) oskrbi ostarelih. To drzno dejanje je dodobra razburkalo britansko politiko in bilo deležno velikega medijskega odziva, Buntonu pa je ob njegovem poskusu reševanja sveta uspelo rešiti tudi svoj propadajoči zakon.

Based on a real testimony, "Where the cold burns" takes us back in time through an atmospheric journey towards the feelings of a woman. Aurora arrives at her childhood home in the midst of an accumulation of fog and intense cold. Uneasy, she visits this place to reunite with her dead father. But the past overwhelms her, those uncomfortable events of her childhood are relived, which has been marked by the love and abuse of her father.

In a world where order suppresses independent thought, a young girl uses her creativity to break free from the oppressive societal system.
