Nesmělý Lionel a horkokrevná Paquita si nejsou souzeni. Panovačná matka jejich vztahu brání i po smrti. Kousla ji totiž obávaná krysí opice a tak se po smrti proměnila v olezlou zombie. Lionel, novodobý Norman Bates, však své tajemství neskryje před prohnaným strýcem, který má zálusk na dědictví i Paquitu. Schyluje se k exkluzívní párty a jenom on ví, že všechny zombie je třeba rozsekat, četl totiž americké komiksy.
Na počátku filmu se po letech potkávají dva přátelé a společně vzpomínají na těch pár dní, během kterých kdysi dávno dali naplno průchod své zvrácenosti a bez zábran realizovali všechny své nejúchylnější a nejmorbidnější fantazie. Tenkrát se seznámili se dvěma zajímavými dívkami a odvezli je na svůj zchátralý statek. Tam se k nim připojilo ještě pár dalších podivných existencí. První polovina filmu je spíše popisná, s minimálním dějem a soustředí se hlavně na budování nihilistické atmosféry. Postupně pak režisér filmu odhazuje veškeré zábrany a servíruje divákovi opravdu velkou porci odporností a patologického chování aktérů příběhu a pokaždé, když se zdá, že už došel na vrchol hnusu, ještě dál přitvrdí. Hranici toho, co vůbec ještě je přijatelné (byť v tomto žánru) zcela nepochybně překračuje, a to rozhodně víckrát než jednou.

Vojáci pročesávají kraj a najdou infikovaného muže již mrtvého a jeho tělo spálí. Při kremaci se však kromě dýmu do ovzduší uvolnila i nebezpečná látka. Tento fakt způsobí masivní úbytek živých jedinců, ze kterých se stávají zombies. Člověk v boji proti tomuto nepříznivému stavu začíná vítězit. Je však v té chvíli ještě živý, nebo nemrtvý?
