White Christmas er et skatkammer fyldt af Irving Berlin-klassikere, deriblandt Count Your Blessings Instead of Sheep, Sisters, Blue Skies og den højt elskede julesang White Christmas. To talentfulde sangere og dansere (Bing Crosby og Danny Kaye) går sammen efter krigen og bliver et af de hotteste numre i show business. En vinter slår de sig sammen med to søstre, som optræder sammen (Rosemary Clooney og Vera-Ellen), og rejser til Vermont for at tilbringe en hvid jul. Den fornødne morskab følger naturligvis med damerne, men det egentlige eventyr begynder, da Crosby og Kaye opdager, at kroen drives af deres gamle general fra hæren, som nu er i pengevanskeligheder. Og resultatet er det materiale, som drømme er lavet af.
A veteran general, living poorly but honestly with his wife and his daughter, is visited by his future son-in-law who informs him that he is going to immigrate to Australia. On the same day, his cousin Apostolos pays him a visit as well and tells him that the government intending to honor him has decided to construct his statue and place it at the small square in front of his house.
Arthur Dudley can finally retire, or so he thinks. After receiving an unfortunate letter from his local Job Centre, Arthur is plunged into the depths of an anti-retirement scheme by his government. Arthur endeavours to fight this system and eventually death themselves.
An extremelly honest man, Timoleon Lambrou (Dinos Iliopoulos), who has lost his job many times due to his honesty finds a wallet full of cash and a letter from the USA that belongs to a military General who is the president o a large public organisation and decides to return it. The General's wife though, Lia (Rena Vlahopoulou), covers for her brother (Andreas Douzos) who has embezzled from her husband's organisation and the letter proves the lies and embezzlements. Finally, Lia gets hold of the letter despite the honest man's objections but the General, decides to hire him due to his honesty. There, he discovers the embezzlements and when he tells everything to the General, his wife and her brother try to prove that he is crazy, a crook, a communist and anti-systemic, things that usually make the General furious. The honest man is imprisoned but in the end Lia decides to come forth with the truth.
