Herfst 1910, hoog in het Noorden. Een kampement van Inuit-nomaden wordt bedreigd door hongersnood. De situatie wordt nijpend als dag na dag de jagers met lege handen terugkeren. Niemand weet echter dat de sjamaan Croolik middels zwarte magie er voor heeft gezorgd dat alle dieren zijn verdwenen. De wijze vrouw Saya herinnert zich de legende van Sarila, een beloofd land verscholen achter de gletsjers, waar alles in overvloed zou zijn. De legende gaat dat alleen degene met een zuiver hart de plek mogen betreden. De verraderlijke kraai van Croolik, Kwatak, gaat ermee akkoord dat de drie jonge Inuit Putulik, Apik en Markussi op zoek gaan naar Sarila om hun stam te redden.

Utquiagvik is the northernmost city in Alaska, located 555 km beyond the Arctic Circle. This meditative documentary follows its young Inuit inhabitants, who explore the desolate snowy landscape under the midnight sun and transform their home into a vast playground full of melting glaciers and abandoned ships.

Kajanaqtuq (2020) is a short experimental film that features the voice of Inuk elder Naulaq LeDrew. She speaks about her home in Nunavut, Canada and how Inuit lifestyles have changed since her youth. Altered Super 8mm film footage of the region illustrates her account of historical events and Inuit mythology.

"Melting Lives - Victims of the New Weather" is a six-part documentary series in which the viewers meet people in the Arctic region who live close to and depend on nature for survival, and who struggle to maintain their way of life. Their tales are being heard and testimonies about how life is changing as the world gets ever warmer. The host, Samuel Idivuoma, is from northern Sweden.
